Everything you need to survive your first hours — core combat mechanics, starting weapon selection, biome-by-biome walkthrough, resource economy, and survival tips. Updated for the 1.0 launch on July 4, 2026.
Adira Nusantara is built on the Silat combat system, inspired by Indonesian Pencak Silat. The system revolves around three pillars: dodge rolls with invincibility frames, the Silat Counter punish mechanic, and weapon-specific combo chains. Mastering these early is the single most important factor in surviving later biomes.
Unlike many action games, raw stats matter far less than mechanical skill. A level 10 player who consistently lands Silat Counters will out-damage a level 30 player who trades hits. The dodge roll grants i-frames on startup lasting approximately 0.3 seconds (unlocked at level 5). Dodge toward attacks, not away — this passes you through the attack and positions you behind the enemy for a guaranteed Silat Counter that stuns for 3 seconds and applies a +50% bonus damage multiplier.
| Mechanic | Input | Timing | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dodge Roll | B / Circle | 0.3s i-frames | Roll toward attacks to pass through them. Unlocks full invincibility frames at level 5. |
| Silat Counter | Auto on perfect dodge | 3s stun window | Perfect dodge stuns the enemy and applies +50% bonus damage. Core boss-killing mechanic. |
| Parry | L2 / LT | 0.2s window | Unlocks at level 15. Deflects melee attacks and staggers. Higher risk, higher reward than dodge. |
| Weapon Combo | R1 chain | Varies by weapon | Third and fifth hits deal bonus damage. Each weapon type has unique combo strings. |
| Heavy Attack | R2 / RT | 0.8s charge | Breaks enemy guards and deals poise damage. Essential for armored enemies in Cave of Origins. |
| Talisman Active | D-pad | 15s cooldown | Equipped talismans provide active buffs or attacks. Manage cooldowns for boss phases. |
Note: Parry unlocks at level 15. Do not rely on it before then. Focus on dodge timing for the first two biomes.
You choose one of four starter weapons at the beginning of each run. This choice defines your combat style for the entire run, as weapon swapping is limited until you unlock additional weapon slots at level 11. The Keris Dagger is the clear best pick for new players: fast attacks, forgiving timing, and a stacking poison mechanic that rewards aggressive play without requiring precise execution.
| Weapon | Speed | Attack | Difficulty | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Keris Dagger | Fast | 85 | Easy | Best for new players. Stacking poison mechanic rewards aggressive play. |
| Golok Machete | Medium | 80 | Medium | Good all-rounder. Bleed effect unlocks at evolution Tier 3. |
| Toya Staff | Medium | 65 | Medium | Crowd control focus. Longest reach in its class. Stun chain at Tier 4. |
| Celurit Sickle | Slow | 90 | Hard | Highest base damage but unforgiving. Avoid until you master dodge timing. |
Adira Nusantara features five biomes, each with unique enemies, environmental hazards, and a Guardian boss. Your first run should prioritize exploration and learning over speed. Clear every room, break every crate, and fight every elite enemy.
| # | Biome | Guardian Boss | Level | Key Loot | Tips |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Starting Village | Village Chief | 1-5 | Nusantara Essence x50, Iron x20 | Learn basic dodge timing. Break every crate. Talk to all NPCs for tutorial quests. |
| 2 | Cave of Origins | Guardian of Earth | 6-15 | Earth Crystal x3, Venom Sacs x10 | Breakable east wall hides a talisman blueprint. Use heavy attacks on armored enemies. |
| 3 | Floating Islands | Guardian of Sky | 16-25 | Wind Feather x3, Sharp Fangs x15 | Ride wind currents to secret shrines. Aerial enemies weak to pierce damage. |
| 4 | Sunken Temple | Guardian of Sea | 26-35 | Water Pearl x3, Mythril Crystal x2 | Underwater sections limit movement. Spectral Archer drops the Busur Sakti bow. |
| 5 | Abyssal Throne | Final Guardian | 36-50 | Void Shard x5, Nusantara Spirit Crystal x1 | Endgame zone. All builds fully evolved. Boss has 3 phases — save talismans for phase 3. |
Nusantara Essence is the universal upgrade currency, earned from kills, crates, and bosses. Spend it at evolution shrines after each boss room. The golden rule: never evolve mid-run without full essence. The waste penalty for spending essence on anything other than shrine evolution is 40%.
Biome crystals (Earth, Wind, Water, Void) craft talismans between runs. For DPS builds, prioritize crit chance and attack speed. For survival builds, prioritize dodge window extension and healing herb effectiveness. Spirit Crystals are the rare endgame currency — Common from early elites, Refined from Guardian first kills, Mythril from hidden shrines, and Nusantara Spirit Crystals exclusive to New Game+ and the Abyssal Throne.
