Core Mechanics

The world

Witchspire merges survival, crafting, creature-collecting and co-op witch fantasy. These four pillars shape every decision you make.

Survival Made Magical

You will not starve — but resources replenish your power. Call forth forests for timber, spirit jump up ledges, blink out of attacks, and send magical pickaxes to harvest from range.

Befriend Familiars

Wilderness creatures can be defeated in battle to capture their spirits. Build long-term bonds and guide their growth to match your playstyle — every witch's familiar roster looks different.

Conjure a Sanctuary

Use astral projection to build free of gravity. Decorate with cosmetic packs, share with your coven, and use it as a staging base for corruption runs.

The Ancients & Corruption

Meteors fall, ancient creatures roam, and corruption spreads beneath the surface. The Witchspire has chosen you — survival means reading the sky and the ground.

Boss Difficulty Ranking

Endgame check

Five major bosses stand between you and the Spire Summit. Difficulty scales with mechanical complexity, not just raw damage — the Witch King is hardest because of its four-phase fight with instant-kill mechanics, while the Corrupted Warden is a forgiving tutorial boss.

Counterplay

No single build beats every boss. Match the encounter to a build that covers its weakness — and avoid the trap pick that loses its core mechanic against that boss. These pairings are drawn from the boss-strategy breakdown.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bosses
What is the boss progression order by level?
The five bosses climb in level: Corrupted Warden at level 18 (Hollow Prison, Easy, 2 phases), Frost Wyrm at 28 (Frozen Peaks, Moderate, 2 phases), Shadow Council at 35 (Council Chambers, Hard, 3 phases), Void Weaver at 42 (Abyssal Rift, Very Hard, 3 phases), and the Witch King at 50 (Spire Summit, Extreme, 4 phases). Clear them in that order as you gear up.
What is the minimum gear level for the Witch King?
Recommended item level is 145+ for DPS and 150+ for tanks. Below 140, phase 3 damage output is too low to beat the DPS check before quadrant rotations overwhelm the party. Farm the Abyssal Rift for item level 140-150 gear, and target the Crown of the Fallen unique helm — its 15% arcane damage reduction is built for the Witch King fight.
Can I solo all the bosses?
Corrupted Warden and Frost Wyrm are designed to be soloable at level. Shadow Council is soloable with high-DPS builds at item level 130+. Void Weaver needs at least one extra player for portal management, and the Witch King is impossible to solo under normal conditions because the phase 4 Doppelganger needs a second target for damage splitting.
Should I use consumables during boss fights?
Yes, especially for Void Weaver and Witch King. Arcane Resistance Potions (20% arcane damage reduction for 30 seconds) are essential for Witch King phase 3, and Frost Resistance Potions trivialize the Frost Wyrm Frostbite mechanic. Save Health Potions for emergencies rather than topping off after avoidable damage.
